Stop Complaining and Start Doing

I know business sucks. However, no one wants to do business with someone who is down in the dumps. You may think your attitude is not coming across to your customers, but believe me, it is. So, start thinking positively. How? Well, first, try and think of ways you can increase your sales and gross profit. Just coming up with new ideas will put you in a positive state of mind. These ideas can range from how to get more people in the door to how to increase gross once their here. For example, did you know that over $34 Billion is spent on automotive accessories. New car dealers get less then 10% of this business. Automotive Accessories are a huge opportunity that dealers can take advantage of in these tough times. If you would like more information on how to get your share of this $34 billion a year business, download my FREE report: "How to get your share of the $34 Billion Automotive Accessory Business" on the Products Page of this website. Second, I have heard from a lot of you that when customers come in they are telling you that since business is slow they should get a good deal. How do you respond when a customer says that? What you should say is," you are right Mr. Customer our manufacturer like other auto manufacturers has cut back their supply due to the current economic climate. What this means for us is that we now have a more limited supply of vehicles to choose from and just like any other products, when supply is low prices stay relatively stable or increase. So, at the dealership level our business has been doing okay. Now, let's talk about what you are looking for in a new car." Now, you don't have to say this exactly. The point is that since you have some extra time, you should start to think of ways to combat some of the things you are hearing. Stop complaining and start doing! Come up with ways to make your job better. Believe me, if nothing else it will change your attitude. Good selling. Doug
